About The Position

The College of Engineering is seeking Teaching Assistants for the First-Year Engineering program for the 2026 Fall Term. General duties include preparing, delivering, and/or attending lectures, demonstrating, marking, student consulting, invigilating, holding office hours, setting up experiments, supervising field trips, and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by the assignment. The work location will be within the College of Engineering. The duration of employment is the 2026 Fall Term, with start and end dates from September 1 to December 31, 2026. Variable hours during the academic term will apply.

Requirements

Excellent written and spoken English
Experience with CBA and Crowdmark preferred
Experience with Re-Engineered program
Training or familiarity with culture of Indigenous Peoples of Canada
Strong Dynamics skills, familiar with the notations used in Dynamics course at the UofS
Excellent written and spoken English
Preferably (but not necessarily) have completed RCM 200
Experience with hand drawing and sketching engineering drawings
Familiarity with design logbooks
Experience with structured engineering design process (as taught at UofS)
Strong programming and Matlab skills
EE or CME background
Lab experience
Strong Math background (Math students preferred)
Strong Chemistry background
Strong Physics background (Physics students preferred)
Strong Biology background
Strong Geology background
Professional experience, EIT or PEng
