About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course TSO 2505: Adolescence, jeunesse et travail social during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is with the School of Social Work within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ottawa. The TA will be responsible for a combination of tasks including facilitating discussion groups, grading assignments and exams, providing one-on-one consultations with students, and proctoring exams. The student must commit to the suggested work schedule and be available to attend the course as requested by the professor. The School expects all assistants to be physically present on campus to complete their tasks. The teaching mode may change due to health or other reasons. The course is offered in person, and the TA must meet the language requirement for the course.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in social sciences or equivalent
• Ability to work autonomously
• Meet the language requirement for the course (French)
• Be available to attend the course at the professor's request
• Be available to travel physically to campus to complete all tasks
