This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the CRM3335 A00 course, Qualitative Research in Criminology, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is for one section of the course with an expected enrollment of 35 students. The work is to be performed on the Main Campus. The TA will be responsible for a combination of tasks including leading discussion groups, marking papers and exams, providing personal consultation with students, and proctoring exams. The student must meet deadlines and attend lectures if requested by the supervisor. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, while graduate students will receive a higher rate. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. All employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. Accommodation measures can be requested during the selection process. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
