About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for FSS1150 A00 in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Main Campus. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, and graduate students at a higher rate. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactivity paid after ratification. Requirements

Knowledge of and interest in the field of psychology and mental health
Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written)
Demonstrated ability to lead group discussions, support and consult with students
Students must be available in person for the duration of the contract.
Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a teaching assistant is strongly recommended.
Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
