About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the course CRM1701 Section A00, "Histoire du savoir criminologique" (History of Criminological Knowledge), during the Fall 2026 semester. The course is offered in French and is in-person. The role involves a combination of tasks such as facilitating discussion groups, marking papers and exams, holding office hours for student consultations, and proctoring exams. The student must commit to the suggested work schedule and be available to attend the course lectures if requested by the supervisor. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. Undergraduate students will be paid at a lower rate, while graduate students will receive the higher rate. These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified, with retroactive pay provided after ratification. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. Accommodation measures can be requested during the selection process.

Requirements

• Baccalauréat avec spécialisation en criminologie ou son équivalent.
• BA Honours in Criminology or equivalent.
• Must meet the deadlines set by the supervisor.
• Must attend lectures if requested to do so.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
