About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the Greek Mythology course (CLA2323, Section B00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is within the Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the Faculty of Arts. The role involves a combination of duties as per Article 4.3.1 of the collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and online), consulting with students (in-person and online), proctoring, and other related tasks. The number of hours or positions may vary based on enrollment, which is expected to be 300 students. The work is to be performed in person, with a scheduled class time of Tuesday from 19:00 to 21:50. All university employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Classics and Religious Studies or related field.
• Must be a student at the University of Ottawa.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
