About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for Elementary Spanish I (ESP1991) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The role involves various tasks including preparation, contact with students, grading, training, and other duties as negotiated with the supervising professor. The position is part of the Faculty of Arts, within the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements
- B.A. in Hispanic studies or equivalent.
- Excellent skills in Spanish as a foreign language (ELE grammar A1/ A2, culture and literature of Hispanic countries, composition, and Didactics of ELE).
- Bilingual (French-English).
- Experience in the teaching of Spanish.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
