About The Position

This is a specific course posting for a Teaching Assistant role in POL3574: Le fédéralisme, for the Fall 2026 semester. The course will be taught in person on the Main Campus, within the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Political Studies. The role involves a combination of teaching assistance tasks, including facilitating discussion groups, grading assignments and exams, and providing one-on-one consultations with students. The student must adhere to the work schedule set by the supervisor and be available to attend the course as requested. All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.
The course will be delivered in person, requiring some work to be done on campus.
Students must be able to travel to the University of Ottawa campus in Ottawa at the request of their supervisor and/or the School.
Must be able to complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Must be available to attend the course at the demand of the supervisor.
Must respect the work schedule established by the supervisor.
