About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Climatology course (GEG2304-A01) during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is within the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics at the Faculty of Arts. The TA will be responsible for tasks such as attending preparatory meetings with the instructor, facilitating group discussions, meeting with students, and grading papers and examinations. The total work hours for this position are 70. The hourly rate will be $33.83 for undergraduate students or $53.31 for graduate students (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027 rates). These rates do not include vacation or statutory pay and are subject to change based on a new collective agreement ratification. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
