About The Position

People Incorporated is seeking a passionate and creative Teaching Artist Contractor to join our Artability team, leading art groups in treatment and crisis facilities. We are seeking a candidate that has experience in various art forms and a strong desire to educate and inspire others in mental health settings through artistic expression. An ideal candidate will have experience, whether professionally or personally, in the field of mental health.

Requirements

• Skilled in one or more art forms, evidenced by a portfolio of completed work
• Prior experience in leading art groups for participants of varying skill levels
• Passion for supporting individuals with mental health conditions in their recovery journey

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience or education in the mental health field

Responsibilities

• Leading 1 hour art groups in mental health facilities.
• Designs and leads the lessons.
• Bill for 15 minutes of prep and 15 minutes of cleanup in addition to their 1 hour groups.
• Volunteer participation in our annual art show each fall is encouraged but not required.
