Requirements

A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy; a background in education is not required.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
Ability to work in person in Miami, Florida.

Teaching certification and Master’s degrees are not required for this role.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with colleagues and leaders and actively seek and apply feedback to strengthen instruction and student outcomes.
Serve as an ambassador of SA’s Adult Winning Culture by demonstrating professionalism, excellence, ownership, and an unwavering focus on preparing students for success in school, college, and life.
Engage and invest families in students’ academic growth, behavior, and overall success through regular, productive communication.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and a classroom culture of joy, rigor, and high expectations.
Deeply study the SA curriculum, assignments, and learning goals.
Read course texts and complete problems, assignments, and assessments to understand the content and its intellectual demands firsthand.
Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction that drives mastery of the content.
Regularly study student work and assessment data to evaluate learning.
Reflect honestly on results, identify changes needed in your own practice, and work with urgency to improve.
Provide timely, actionable feedback that strengthens students’ thinking and performance.
Lead and manage a classroom of 25+ students.
Establish and consistently enforce routines and expectations that maintain a productive classroom environment and maximize learning.
