About The Position

Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a current and valid Nebraska teaching credential in Math, Science, or Special Education
Bachelor's degree in the Education field from an accredited college or university
Have three or more years of successful classroom teaching
Have related experience working with at-risk youth ages 13-17
Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry

Nice To Haves

Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree and one year of teaching experience, along with valid state certification for the grade level and subject taught, have a starting salary of $45,000.
Candidates with more experience and multi-subject credentials have a higher starting salary rate.

Those with a Master’s degree, one year of teaching experience from an accredited institution in a field related to the position, and valid state certification for the grade level and subject taught.

Responsibilities
