About The Position

At Connect Academy for Children, we believe in creating a positive impact on the development of children through a nurturing, hands-on environment that blends nature-based learning with structure, trust, and play. As a locally owned and operated early childhood center, we prioritize integrity, teamwork, respect, and a genuine passion for helping children grow. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher to join our team in one of the following classrooms: Infant, Toddler, or Preschool, depending on experience and staffing needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, understands developmental milestones, and is ready to contribute to a safe, engaging, and enriching classroom environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year experience in a licensed childcare setting
Must meet all DHS requirements, including background checks and trainings
Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a team-first mindset
Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of young children

Nice To Haves

CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with our hybrid nature-based curriculum
Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Maintain daily communication with parents using Brightwheel
Promote positive behavior and model respect, kindness, and empathy
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
Observe and document developmental progress and milestones
Collaborate with other teachers and leadership to maintain a cohesive learning environment
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with DHS and Better Beginnings standards
