About The Position

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Teacher to join our Day Treatment & Education team. This Teacher role will be responsible for the education of our Day Treatment programing. The Teacher will plan and direct learning experiences, both in the academic and behavioral management areas, during the school year. This role is responsible for collecting on and reporting IEP data; collecting on, reporting, assessing, and drafting transition IEP information; drafting IEP Annual Reviews; leading Annual Review meetings; participating in Change of Placement meetings; amending intake IEPs for placement meetings. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education.
  • Active educator license in the state of Ohio.
  • Active driver’s license.
  • Proof of car insurance.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed Intervention Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct learning experiences, both in the academic and behavioral management areas, during the school year.
  • Collect on and report IEP data.
  • Collect on, report, assess, and draft transition IEP information.
  • Draft IEP Annual Reviews.
  • Lead Annual Review meetings.
  • Participate in Change of Placement meetings.
  • Amend intake IEPs for placement meetings.
  • Use trauma-informed, focused interventions to engage students.
  • Educate students, family members, and other providers about behavior plans, prevention, self-management, peer support and recovery.
  • Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions.
  • Report to students, families, and home school district on grades and IEP data every 9 weeks.
  • Effectively implement trauma informed strategies which create a strength-based, structured environment conducive to learning and healing.
  • Create effective lesson plans, implements individual and group instructional strategies and accurately assesses students.
