About The Position
Four Winds Hospital is the leading provider of specialized behavioral health inpatient and outpatient treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. We invite you to join our Four Winds Family. We are seeking a Teacher to teach child and adolescent courses to special needs students. The job is in-person onsite at our Westchester Campus in Katonah, NY. Annual assignment follows school year schedule of 10 months.
Requirements
- Master's degree with certification in New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey in a core subject area, Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education; or Bachelor's degree with provisional certification, demonstrating a commitment to pursuing a Master's degree in order to obtain permanent certification.
- Certified Teachers.
- New graduates encouraged to apply.
Nice To Haves
- Special education certification preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of program design.
- Experience working in small group individualized instruction.
- Team teaching.
- Flexibility in a fast paced environment, are key components to success.
- Work with home school district to meet student’s needs.
