About The Position

This position is for a Teacher responsible for instructing students in Language Arts for grades 6-8. The role requires knowledge of current teaching methods, differentiated instruction, and educational pedagogy. The teacher will be expected to engage students and parents, and maintain cooperative working relationships. Requirements

• New Jersey teacher instructional certificate with a Middle School ELA in Grades 5-8 endorsement or a K-12 English endorsement
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
• Knowledge of English grammar, word usage, word denotations and connotations, spelling, literature and other content areas taught.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators and the community.
