About The Position

The Teacher's primary role is to facilitate a classroom environment and supervise all activities within their classroom. They are responsible for ensuring all consumers are supervised and challenged to reach their individual goals. This role involves completing consumer reports, maintaining student records, and working with consumers with various special needs. The Teacher must also be a team player and willing to perform duties outside their job description as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Completed early childhood education classes with a passing grade.
• At least 12 units and 6 months in a licensed childcare center or similar program.
• One year experience working with special needs consumers.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aide certification
• Non-Crisis Intervention certification

Responsibilities

• Complete consumer reports.
• Multitask effectively.
• Maintain student records (data).
• Work with all consumers with all aspects of special needs.
• Sit, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be a team player and able to perform duties outside of his/her job description as assigned.
• Supervise his/her classroom and Teachers Aids.
