About The Position

The HSE/HSD Teacher instructs students in a regular classroom setting in designated subject areas. The teacher promotes a positive classroom atmosphere that supports student motivation and maintains discipline to support learning. The role also involves building rapport with students, using available curriculum resources, maintaining student personnel folders, and recording and forwarding daily attendance to Student Records.

The position is with Albuquerque Job Corps, a residential career-training program serving eligible young people ages 16 through 24. The program helps students complete high school education, prepare for careers, and obtain employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOE certification to teach in the state of New Mexico.
• Pass a drug screen in compliance with the Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Successfully complete a nationwide criminal background check; employment is contingent on completion.

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
