About The Position

St. Theodore Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Elementary Teacher to join our faith-centered learning community. The Elementary Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction that supports students’ academic, spiritual, and personal growth while fostering a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
  • Completion of required background checks and Safe Environment training in accordance with diocesan and school policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid teaching certification preferred (or ability to obtain per diocesan requirements).
  • Prior elementary teaching experience preferred.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; must support and respect Catholic teachings and traditions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with diocesan and school curriculum standards.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom culture.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments and communicate progress with parents and guardians.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with families.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school liturgies, and events.
  • Uphold school policies and actively support the mission of Catholic education.
