About The Position
GradePower Learning Homeschool Day Academy in Largo is seeking passionate and energetic instructors for its homeschool support program, serving students in K-12th grade. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in students' lives without the challenges of a traditional school system. Students progress at their own pace with personalized programs, allowing for significant academic gains. Coordinators handle all parent communication, freeing instructors to focus solely on teaching. The role involves limited planning and no grading, as the curriculum is proprietary. This is an in-person position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Must reside in or within a short commute of the Largo area.
- Background checks are mandatory.
Nice To Haves
- Classroom and/or FLVS experience is preferred.
- Experience teaching/tutoring middle school or high school students is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Teaching up to 6 students at a time at different levels
- Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post-lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
- Helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem
- Overcoming academic hurdles and realizing inner potential
