About The Position

Furqaan Academy is seeking energetic and enthusiastic candidates passionate about teaching young children in Elementary, Middle, and High School departments. We welcome applications from new teachers, experienced educators, and subject-specific teachers. Specific openings include ELA/Social Studies for Elementary School, Science for Middle School, Full-Time Hifdh Teacher, Quran Teachers (separate for boys and girls), and Arabic Teacher for Elementary. The primary responsibility is to educate students by delivering engaging, informative lessons in a structured and supportive environment. Teachers must design and implement a curriculum that aligns with educational standards, create lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments. Additionally, teachers are responsible for maintaining student records, communicating with parents, participating in professional development, fostering a positive learning environment, differentiating instruction, providing individualized support, collaborating with colleagues, managing classroom technology, incorporating interdisciplinary learning, and ensuring student safety.

Requirements

U.S. Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in education or credits equivalent to
Previous Experience working in school.
Must be able to legally work in the United States of America without employer sponsorships.
Must be able to pass a local criminal history check, a fingerprint background check

Nice To Haves

Certification (Type 4, Type 3, Type 9) is a plus
Arabic language proficiency
Urdu language proficiency

Responsibilities

Educate students by delivering engaging, informative lessons in a structured and supportive environment.
Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with the educational standards for their subject and grade level.
Create lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that measure student understanding and progress.
Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities.
Foster a positive learning environment by establishing classroom rules, addressing behavioral issues, and promoting positive relationships among students.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Provide individualized support and guidance to students who need extra help.
Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to improve student outcomes and school culture.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices and trends in education.
Manage classroom technology, including computers, projectors, and other digital tools.
Incorporate interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities into their lessons.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in their care.
