Located in Garfield Park, the child/adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) is designed for school-age children who may benefit from therapeutic behavioral health services but do not need 24-hour monitoring and adolescents ages 12 through 17 who struggle with a behavioral disorder or mental health issues but are stable enough to live at home during treatment. JOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction to patients while maintaining an orderly and disciplined structure in the classroom. Develops special interventions for patients unable to function within the classroom setting. Assists in curriculum development. Understands the basic growth and development milestones with appropriate interventions specific to the age and population served. Completes patient lesson plans. Completes and maintains all records as required. Maintains an adequate supply of appropriate instructional materials relative to patient’s age and functioning level. Assures the maintenance of a safe and sanitary environment.
