Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing necessary paperwork, and developing/implementing instructional programs. Success in this role means demonstrating competence in behavior management, administering assessments, communicating with stakeholders, collecting student progress data, and utilizing research-based teaching methods. The teacher will also participate in professional development, provide physical prompting and personal care for students as needed, and may be assigned SHARS duties.
