Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing required paperwork, developing and implementing instructional goals, demonstrating competence in behavior management principles, administering assessments, communicating with parents and staff, collecting data on student progress, and utilizing research-based teaching methods to promote skill generalization and maintenance. The position also requires participation in continuing professional development, providing physical prompts for students which may involve lifting and positioning, performing SHARS duties as assigned, and providing personal care as identified in student IEPs.
