Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing required paperwork, developing and implementing instructional programs, demonstrating competence in behavior management principles, administering tests, communicating with parents and staff, collecting student progress data, and using research-based teaching methods. The teacher will also participate in continuing professional development, provide physical prompting which may involve lifting and positioning students, and perform other assigned duties such as SHARS duties and personal care as identified in student IEPs.
