Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing required paperwork, developing and implementing instructional programs, and demonstrating competence in behavior management principles. Success in this role means effectively collecting and maintaining data to measure student progress, providing instruction using research-based methods, and ensuring the generalization and maintenance of skills. The teacher will also communicate regularly with parents/guardians, campus staff, and supervisors, and participate in professional development. Additional duties may include SHARS duties and providing personal care as identified in student IEPs.
