Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing required paperwork, developing and implementing instructional programs, demonstrating competence in behavior management principles, administering testing, communicating with parents and staff, collecting data on student progress, and providing instruction using research-based methods. The teacher will also participate in professional development, physically prompt students, and may have additional SHARS duties and provide personal care as identified in IEPs.
