TEACHER - SPECIAL EDUCATION
About The Position
Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is one of the nation’s largest and most respected health care management companies. McDowell Center for Children is a 28-bed Residential Treatment Center for adolescent boys ages twelve through seventeen. McDowell Center for Children is looking for a teacher. The teacher carries out the professional duties as circumstances may require and in accordance with the school’s policies under the direction of the Director of Education and CEO. This role demonstrates curriculum knowledge, provides instructional services to students, assesses achievement effectively, and takes responsibility for professional development.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to apply
- Bachelor’s degree in education required
- Teaching certification or eligibility in the State of Tennessee is required
- Must have experience in behavioral management using a variety of intervention techniques
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in education preferred
- Experience in Special Education is strongly preferred
