Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Eligible for employment in the US.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential.
  • Two current professional references on file, including one from a previous supervisor.
  • Disclose every California school district, County Office of Education, charter school or state special school that they have worked for to satisfy AB2534 requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in early childhood special education.
  • BCLAD certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students with mild-moderate disabilities in an early childhood special education setting.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
