Provide special education consultation and instruction to meet the needs of eligible students identified with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves participating in ARD/IEP meetings, completing required paperwork, developing and implementing instructional programs, and demonstrating competence in behavior management principles. The teacher will administer assessments, communicate with parents and staff, collect student progress data, and utilize research-based instructional methods. Participation in professional development, physical prompting of students (which may include lifting and positioning), and performing other assigned duties such as SHARS duties and personal care as identified in student IEPs are also key aspects of this position.
