About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Resource Teacher within the Paterson Public Schools. The role involves teaching and working with children, requiring a strong understanding of child development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and assessment. Communication skills with students, staff, parents, and the community are essential. This position is pending budget availability and is open for at least ten days or until filled. Requirements

• Must have a New Jersey elementary teacher certificate with a Students with Disabilities certificate or a Teacher of the Handicapped certificate
• Have excellent experience in teaching and working with children
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, and community
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
