About The Position

This position is for a Special Education Teacher for the LLD (Local Learning Disabilities) program. The role involves teaching and working with children, requiring a strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies. The teacher will be responsible for classroom management, assessment, and diagnosis of learning. Requirements

Must hold New Jersey Students with Disabilities certificate with appropriate instructional certificate for the position or hold a Teacher of the Handicapped certificate
Excellent experience in teaching and working with children
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
