About The Position

This position is for a Social Studies Teacher. Specific certification requirements depend on whether the position is for Junior High or Senior High. All prospective employees must undergo a Level 2 background check, including fingerprinting and national/state criminal history checks, and be deemed eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. This check also includes searches of sexual predator and offender registries.

Requirements

• Junior High positions - Social Science 5-9 OR Social Science 6-12
• Senior High positions - Social Science 6-12
• Must submit to a Level 2 background check
• Must be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
• Background check includes fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
• Background check includes national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Background check includes local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies
• Background check includes a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years
