This position aims to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible members of society. The role requires adherence to professional conduct, maintaining clear boundaries with students, using district-approved communication channels, and promptly reporting suspected child abuse or neglect. Compliance with these expectations is a condition of employment. This position is subject to the Students First Act of 2011, and Madison City Schools reserves the right to fill it by transfer of a qualified applicant already employed by the district. No credit toward tenure or non-probationary status is earned in the initial school year if the date of hire occurs after September 30.
