About The Position

Deliver instruction in the areas of literacy, science and/or math to elementary students during Saturday school. Monitor student progress with learning objectives and provide individualized instruction to students to support them in mastering the objectives. Create a positive classroom community and communicate with students' families about their academic performance. Request assistance from special service providers to support student's social and emotional well-being. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum
  • Current Colorado Department of Education Teachers License
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Support and counsel students to encourage academic achievement and engagement
  • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction using district-approved curriculum and varied teaching strategies
  • Monitor and manage student behavior, reinforcing positive conduct in accordance with school and district policies
  • Observe, assess, and document student performance, behavior, and social development
  • Prepare and grade assignments and assessments; report progress using district systems
  • Record daily attendance and ensure instruction aligns with Saturday School expectations
  • Participate in coaching sessions and implement feedback to improve instructional practice
  • Complete required asynchronous professional learning and fulfill the full session commitment
  • Communicate health and safety concerns promptly to the Site Leader
  • Support students with IEPs through instruction, supervision, and collaboration with staff to meet IEP goals
