About The Position
This is a temporary position for a Teacher's Aide. The role involves direct care and supervision of children, assisting with daily routines, activities, and maintaining a safe and clean learning environment. The aide must comply with DDS Standards, ECERS Requirements, and DHS Requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
Responsibilities
- Report to work on time for scheduled shift, displaying neat clean appearance, & positive attitude
- Care for children, including nutrition & proper personal care
- Assist in checking backpacks each morning as children enter the classroom
- Assist with children going to the restroom throughout the day (changing diapers, pull-ups etc.)
- Assist with coats, sweaters, etc.
- Help children with washing hands and brushing teeth
- Assist in passing out food at snack & lunch times
- Assist with playground activities
- Assist with putting out cots each day for naptime
- Assist in monitoring children during center times
- Interact with children
- Maintain child/staff ratio at all times
- Assist with preparation of daily activities (making and preparing materials)
- Assist with decorating classroom
- Complete daily progress sheets for each child
- Assist instruction with cleaning of classroom (Sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables, cots, windows, toys, etc.)
- Complying with DDS Standards, ECERS Requirements, and DHS Requirements
- Other duties as assigned
