About The Position

Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking dedicated Teacher’s Aides to support classroom teachers in providing high-quality early childhood education services for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role offers a starting rate of $14 per hour and a schedule of Monday–Friday, with two shift options: 6:45 am–2:45 pm or 7:30 am–3:30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. UCCA provides meaningful work serving children and families in our community, with opportunities for professional development and career growth.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred
• Experience working with young children preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities
• Support family engagement and communication
