About The Position

Zeta is seeking Entry Level “Resident” Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 3-year program designed for new teachers who are passionate about educational excellence and social-emotional development. Zeta aims to provide a world-class education to all students, fostering a love for learning and creating a strong sense of community. The program includes enrollment in a 2-year, fully subsidized Master’s degree program through Touro University to support New York State teacher certification in both general and special education. The role involves building classroom culture, mastering curriculum, leveraging data for student growth, developing relationships with students and families, and engaging in continuous professional learning. Zeta is committed to disrupting the status quo and fostering a supportive, feedback-driven work culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Desire for fast-paced growth in a supportive, feedback-driven work culture
  • On a pathway to New York State Teacher Certification or willingness to enroll in Zeta's supported program
  • 3-year commitment to the program
  • Work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Plan inquiry-driven, academically rigorous lessons that ignite curiosity, accelerate learning, and empower every student to think boldly and deeply.
  • Build strong, consistent classroom culture skills to create a safe, joyful, and intellectually vibrant learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Master the foundations of Zeta’s academic and social-emotional curriculum, developing the expertise needed to deliver exceptional instruction across disciplines.
  • Leverage data, student work, and feedback to understand student needs, drive academic growth, and refine your teaching practice with precision.
  • Develop authentic, trusting relationships with students and families that support each child’s personal, social-emotional, and academic development.
  • Engage in weekly professional learning with leaders and colleagues, embracing feedback and coaching as you grow into a highly effective educator.
