About The Position
Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher for our full-time PreK3 class at the Edu-Care Center. This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible position. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong instructional experience, a nurturing approach to teaching, and a deep commitment to the social and academic development of young children.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Successful completion of 6 semester hours, 90 clock hours, or the equivalent of approved preservice training, or possession of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in a child care center or school setting.
- Absolute confidentiality, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach.
Nice To Haves
- an undergraduate degree is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides grade-appropriate instructional programs for Early Childhood students that align with the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Develops lesson plans with clear objectives that are aligned with Archdiocesan standards.
- Observes and assesses student progress, maintains detailed records of student behavior and development, and communicates progress with parents.
- Communicates with parents in a clear, professional, and timely manner.
- Supports the mission of the school and the Catholic Church through instructional practices.
