About The Position

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a school-based position in Milton, FL. This role involves providing assessment and instructional services to visually impaired children from K-12. The TVI will collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers, manage vision programs, and support IEP goals. Services will be delivered through classroom presentations, co-teaching, and in-service sessions. The position requires the use and training of assistive technologies. This is a contract position with a W2 arrangement, requiring 37.5 hours per week, from September 17, 2026, to May 28, 2027.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of full-time, school-based experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
• Minimum of a Master's degree in a related field.
• Active State Teaching License as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, with any additional state-mandated endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and instructional services to visually impaired children.
• Conduct individual assessments.
• Deliver direct instruction.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers.
• Establish caseloads, procedures, and resources needed to manage vision programs and support IEP goals.
• Deliver direct services through classroom presentations and co-teaching in general education settings.
• Provide in-service sessions for staff and parents.
• Provide targeted instruction to visually impaired students in both group and 1:1 formats.
• Consult with teachers, parents, school personnel, and other professionals to share insights, recommend services, and develop comprehensive educational plans.
• Utilize and provide training on assistive technologies such as BrailleNote, refreshabraille with iPads, ZoomText, Duxbury, and other computer-based accessibility tools.
