About The Position

Temporary leave replacement position from September 1, 2026, to January 1, 2027. Mt. Pleasant School is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and student-centered educator to serve as a kindergarten teacher. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of educators dedicated to fostering the academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth of our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment while planning and delivering developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. The teacher will support students in building foundational literacy, mathematics, social-emotional, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experiences, play-based instruction, and meaningful family partnerships.

Requirements

• NJ certification - Teacher of Elementary K-6, or, Teacher of PK through Grade 3
• BA/BS from an accredited college or university
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educational professionals

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
