About The Position
New London Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher for New London High School Multi Magnet Campus. This role is part of a welcoming team that values innovation and empowers educators to make a lasting impact. The teacher will be responsible for student learning in mathematics during a specific time period.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 029 or applicable
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction that develops students' problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and mathematical thinking skills.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and confidence in mathematics.
- Use assessment data to differentiate instruction, monitor student progress, and provide timely feedback to support achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum, integrate instructional technology, and advance school improvement goals.
- Prepare students for success in higher-level mathematics, college, careers, and real-world applications through rigorous and relevant learning experiences.
