As an Early Head Start Teacher 1, you will be immersed in a dynamic classroom setting, working with infants and toddlers alongside a collaborative team at one of our two centers in San Andreas. Your role will involve providing a comprehensive educational program for children aged 0 to 3 years, creating engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments that foster physical, social, emotional, and educational growth. With a commitment to implementing age-appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start's standards, you will actively supervise and engage with the children, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every activity. Flexibility is key as you partner with diverse staff, children, and families, all while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Community Care Licensing requirements. Requirements

  • Experience working with young children
  • Child Development Associate Teacher permit required within six months of hire
  • 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including core courses
  • At least 6 units focused on infant and toddler development
  • California Health and Safety Certificate
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid (obtained within six months of employment)
  • Meet health screening requirements
  • Proof of a current negative TB test
  • Immunizations mandated by Community Care Licensing (measles, pertussis/Dtap)
  • Current influenza shot
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Proof of current automobile insurance coverage
