About The Position

This is a leave replacement position for a 6th Grade Math Teacher. The Paterson Public Schools is seeking a qualified individual to fill this role. The position is pending budget availability and will remain open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled. Requirements

• Hold an instructional K–6 certificate, a K–12 Mathematics certificate, or an appropriate substitute credential
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
• Effective instructional practices and strategies
• Experience working with elementary students
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
• Critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
• Computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
