About The Position

This position is for a Teacher for Grades 6-8 Bilingual ELA. The role requires a candidate who can effectively teach English Language Arts to bilingual students, utilizing appropriate instructional strategies and assessment methods. The teacher will be expected to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community, and to leverage technology to enhance learning. The position is pending budget availability and is open for ten days or until filled.

Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Teaching Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility in K-12 English or K-6 with Middle School English Language Arts or K–8.
• Hold certification in Bilingual/Bicultural Education.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnostics, and research related to learning and children needing to learn in bilingual classrooms.
• Experience working with students.
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing.
• Exhibit enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
• Successful implementation of instructional strategies.
• Must be computer literate.
• Highly motivated result-driven educator.
