About The Position

The Teacher-Grade 3 position at Plantation Elementary aims to create an engaging and high-expectation classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, application skills, interpersonal skills, and technology integration. The goal is to achieve measurable student achievement gains for all students, meeting district and state standards.

Appropriate State of Florida certification.
Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

Use assessment strategies aligned with curriculum and standards to assist in student development.
Employ effective communication techniques with students, parents, and stakeholders.
Engage in continuous professional quality improvement for self and school.
Utilize instructional strategies that promote critical, creative, and evaluative thinking.
Implement instructional strategies and materials that reflect student diversity (culture, learning styles, special needs, socio-economic background).
Adhere to the code of ethics and professional conduct for educators in Florida and enforce federal, state, and district regulations.
Use understanding of learning and human development to create a positive learning environment supporting intellectual, personal, and social development.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the subject matter.
Establish a classroom management system that maintains discipline and creates a positive, engaging learning environment.
Plan, align, implement, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment.
Collaborate with peers, parents, and the community for educational improvement.
Integrate appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.
Complete required training and obtain endorsement for ESOL if assigned LEP students.
Maintain school records and submit required reports.
Account for all school property.
Promote equal employment and non-discrimination policies.
Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
