About The Position

This position is for a Grade 3 Classroom Teacher at Woodland Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lesson plans and instructional materials to facilitate active learning. This role requires developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments in accordance with established guidelines, instructing and monitoring students, and utilizing relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction. The teacher will also manage student behavior, provide feedback on student work, observe and assess student performance, maintain accurate records, and assign and grade student work. Participation in district, school, department, and parent meetings is also expected, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or meet the district's professional qualifications.
  • Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.
  • Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
  • Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
  • Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
  • Ability to be present at the physical worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and grade classwork, homework, assessments, and assignments.
  • Participate in district, school, department, and parent meetings.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
