About The Position

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Teacher/FSW at our Central F location. This position is 40 hours per week, 9 months per year.

Requirements

MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
Candidate must possess High School diploma or GED.
MUST have an AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Development OR valid CDA AND be enrolled in a program that grants a qualifying associate or higher degree in Early Childhood Education/related field, and the required coursework and experience, to be completed within three years.
Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First Aid must be maintained.
Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.

Nice To Haves

Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours a plus.

Responsibilities

Developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potential by utilizing the latest curriculum.
Making weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, and provision of individual services in accordance with the Child Development Services Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services, and identifying and removing barriers to needed services. This includes expectations to transport families to appointments, reporting difficulties to supervisors in writing, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
Delegating and guiding activities of the co-teacher in the classroom.
Completing at least two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences per year.
