About The Position

St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Full-Time Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction while fostering the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of each student. The ideal candidate is a joyful, structured educator who supports the mission of Catholic education and forms students as both scholars and disciples.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
  • Colorado teaching license (or ability to obtain) preferred
  • Experience teaching elementary students preferred
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
  • Must complete Archdiocesan background screening and Safe Environment training

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas
  • Foster a structured, positive, and faith-filled classroom environment
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
  • Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
  • Maintain professional responsibilities, including lesson planning, grading, and supervision
  • Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
