Stipend - Teacher, Building Based Substitute (District Wide) (Internal Only) (Summer 2026)

About The Position

This full-time summer position will be based out of individual schools (ESY location is TBD). The educator hired will be asked to work every day for the entirety of summer school. They will either fill in for absent staff members across all summer programs at their building location or support fully staffed programs. The position includes general duties such as frequent communication with students and families, collaboration with staff and stakeholders, lesson creation and implementation, and curricular resource development. Compliance with special education requirements is also necessary. These are minimum requirements, and teachers may expand upon them as they see fit, but must meet the daily requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a current employee of Chelsea Public Schools (Internal Only)
• Must be available to work every day for the entirety of summer school (June 29 - July 23)
• Must be available to work 8 AM - 12 PM during the summer school schedule

Responsibilities

• Frequent communication with students and families
• Communication/collaboration with applicable staff and stakeholders
• Creation and implementation of lessons
• Creation/collaboration of curricular resources/scope and sequence
• Compliance with any and all special education requirements if applicable
